Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle Liquid Foundation
Wow, my last post was a week ago. Felt like such a long time… What a hectic week. I had to travel for work purpose and both my girls fell ill due to the change of weather. Poor babies! They’re getting better now, thank goodness. OK. Anyways…
Remember my post about Lancome’s Teint Miracle liquid foundation? Well, I finally went back to Nicole to make a purchase until she told me about another foundation that would suit me more. That’s their Maqui Blanc Miracle liquid foundation. This foundation is made in Japan, designed specifically for Asian skin, with all the other goodness of the Teint Miracle liquid foundation.
My problem with many foundations (liquid and powder both) is that the foundation makes my face look pinkish. It’s pretty easy to get hot and flushed in this country (hot and humid all year round, thrown in with flash floods and thunder storms now and then) and by the afternoon, my face tends to look darker than my neck. Reason – other than the foundation oxidizing? When I get hot, my skin is flushed and red. Hence, any foundation with slight pinkish tone will make me look redder / darker.
I tried on both the colours O-02 and BO-02 (the latter being slightly lighter with yellowish base) for a day each. O-02 fit perfectly when it was freshly applied. By the afternoon, the colour dulled on me =( BO-02 on the other hand stayed true to its colour the whole day and the colour on my face still matched my neck by the time I went home. Yay!!
This foundation claims to be sweat and humidity resistant and it does its job. By day end, the foundation is still intact without melting. It also has a handy pump and for me, just one pump is enough for a sheer coverage for the whole face. For more coverage, just layer it on bit by bit. It is recommended to apply this foundation with either your brush or your fingers in circular motion because it will blend naturally into the skin without looking streaky. This is the same for their Maqui Blanc Miracle powder foundation. I use my flat kabuki brush to blend and the foundation ‘seeps’ into my skin, making it look like I’m wearing nothing at all… just born with good skin.
