MakeupShow Brushes

If you’ve read my previous posts about makeup brushes, you’d know I love my Sigma and MAC brushes. Just recently, I bumped into another brand called MakeUpShow. These brushes are made in China and just because of that, my biased thinking downgraded its quality. I know. It’s wrong of me. Hey, at least I’m admiting it here in public! I’m sorry China! Anyway, after a good review from Jen, I decided to try. Just one. I chose the blush brush from their High Series. O.M.G.!

For a blush brush, this one is a little small on my cheeks. I’d like to say it’s a small brush, but hey, it might be my big face. LOL! It works great for both contour and blush because of its tapered shape. The bristles are of premium quality natural hair and it’s oh sooo soft. It’s dense, but feels buttery on my skin. I fell in love… And so the new additions to my brush family…

MakeupShow High Series 5 pieces brush set 2

Eye brushes (shader, blending, brow)

Both the shader and blending eye brushes are firm but soft. The brow brush is stiffer but picks up colours easily. New love for filling my brows!

Face brushes (blush and powder) in their guard. Love this idea!
L: Blush brush, R: Powder brush

I talked about the blush brush already, so now the powder brush. As you see, it is dome shaped, and it easily goes into smaller corners like around your nostrils or even under your eyes. This brush is so dense, but never scratchy. It feels like velvet, so luxurious and comfy on the skin.

Gold Series. L: Large angled powder brush, R: Large contour brush

The large powder brush is big. It’s bristles are also soft but because of the length of the hair, I find it applies a little flimsy on the skin. Good for loose powders. The con about this is it sheds like crazy =( Really, it’s sad. I hope it doesn’t go bald on me!

The large contour brush is special. The hair is shorter, very dense and firm, but is also velvety. I like to first put the blush at the hollows of my cheeks then slowly blend upwards. This will give your face a more defined look.

If you’ve read until here, congratulations! It’s a lengthy post. You can get your brushes at mus.7bella.com which is based in Singapore. Highly recommended!
