Watermelon for cheeks: Becca Beach Tint
I’ve been meaning to put up this post for AGES and after a few months, here it is. Becca. I have heard so many things about this brand, starting from their shimmering skin perfector. I purchased their 10th Anniversary set which consists of a few products, all the things I wanted to try, and I think the products deserve its own individual post. The first I want to tell you about is the beach tints.
They are named after fruits, and they smell like their names too. This one, is Watermelon. See the red stripe on the tube? That’s the colour. The coloured stripe reflects what you get inside the tube which I thought is very nifty given the opaque packaging. Beats having to look for the name all the time.
It comes in a little tube like this and just squeeze gently to get the product out. All you need it just a tiny dot for each cheek. The texture I would say is gel-like, and a dream to blend. There is no tugging or pulling and the sweet scent of vanilla infused watermelon is refreshing. It doesn’t linger long, so it doesn’t offend sensitive noses. I really like this packaging better than the bigger cream blushes that come in pots. It is small and light, great for those who don’t have enough storage space, ideal for travelling. The gel is in the tube, making it less prone to contamination too, if I may add. However, the downside is, textures like this are prone to separation. When you squeeze the product out, there are times when you get oil only. Usually, that’s a sign of product going bad, but in my case, it might be the temperature. HOT! I have since put it in a much cooler place and it’s OK now.
Watermelon is a, well, watermelon red. The description is quite apt and when blended on the cheeks, it gives life and colour to the face immediately. It is waterproof and it stays on the whole day on my cheeks. I like to apply this right after my liquid foundation, before finishing it off with powder. On certain days when I want to play up the cheeks, I apply another layer of powder blush on top of it. On lazy days, I just apply this after my skincare and it works just as well. Photo below shows how it looks applied on my cheeks and also on my lips. I find the beach tint a little sticky when worn alone on the lips, but a little gloss would do the trick.
Other products worn on the face:
Lancome Maqui Blanc Foundation, set with Dior Light Amplifying FacePowder. Brows filled in with Suqqu brow pen and curled lashes coated with Estee Lauder Double Wear Smudgeproof Mascara. Eyes are lightly lined with Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Underground.
Becca is not available in Malaysia at the time of writing. It is however, available at some online stores which ship worldwide. I bought mine from zuneta.com, lovely service, super fast shipping. Have you tried anything from Becca before?
