Let’s Go On Vacation: Dior Addict Extreme Riviera
These 3 shades make me feel like summer is here already! Wait, that was weird… I live in a country that is hot and humid all year round. Let me correct myself. These 3 shades make me feel like I’m sailing on a boat, sun bathing in a bikini (not that I’ve ever worn one in my adult life), looking chic with a scarf covering my windblown hair and large sunnies shading my eyes. That’s more like it.
The 3 colours I will be featuring today are 639 Riviera, 479 Holiday and 486 Cruise. I initially thought the colour families contain similar shades, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on this one. Holiday and Cruise definitely belong together, but Riviera stuck out like a sore thumb. LOL!
As you can see in the swatch below, Riviera is a bright coral, and Holiday & Cruise are, well, pinks. I do think there are a little too many pinks in this collection, and some are too similar, but these two are different. Holiday reminds me of Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls (don’t ask me why) and Cruise is a cool toned rosey pink.
I took a bit of time to think what look to pair with these 3 lip colours. I did a minimal look for Plaza to show off the lip colours, a soft smokey eye for Lucky and basically, a camouflaged face for Incognito. For Riviera, I’ll just use live background. Let’s all think we’re on vacation in Bali. LOL! Here are a few full faced photos to show you the lip colours, starting with Holiday (a little too sheer on my lips), Riviera (bright orange) and Cruise (a darker pink on my lips compared to the swatch on my hand). I hope you like them.
The Dior Addict Extreme lipsticks are now already available at all Dior counters nationwide. They retail for RM98 each and there are 12 shades in total. I have swatched for you all 11, missing Pink Icon. These buttery creamy long wearing lipsticks are definitely a must have in your stash.

I love how Cruise looks on you! Out of the three I own Riviera, and I like how easy it is to wear this color! Even when I’m not wearing anything else, just putting some of it on instantly makes me look more “interesting” lol

LOL! Yeah… they wanted to be pirates and their dad bought the scarfs on a whim just so they could play pretend. Say hi next time =D
