Gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS! Butter London Victoriana
The title says it all. I could just shut up and let the photos do the talking, but that wouldn’t be me. I like to ramble, and if you don’t feel like reading, just look at the pictures. I bought this (together with 2 other nail polishes) from Zuneta when they had free shipping promotion. I usually like to purchase stuff when I don’t have to pay for shipping. I’m frugal like that, or you can say I’m a cheapo. Whatever it is, my wallet is happy
I would also like to take this opportunity to praise Zuneta again for their lovely customer service. Quick response and lovely packaging
There is a reason behind the photo above. I am not a nail expert. I do not own that many nail polishes, and when I saw pictures of Butter London nail polishes online, I always thought that the applicator is stuck to the huge rectangular cap. How wrong was I? So, I took another photo just to show you that you have to lift the cap, unscrew the little round cap inside to open. DUH! I should have known because that’s the same for my Dior polishes. *face palm*
Victoriana is a beautiful teal with silver shimmers. It is bluish, greenish, greyish, a complicated shade. For this post, I applied 3 coats of Victoriana without base or top coat. In actual fact, 2 coats are sufficient for an opaque finish. I wore this to my Saturday night shindig last week and it hasn’t chipped a bit! I have a habit of biting my nails and it survived my gnawing! OMG! This hasn’t happened before (exclaimation mark!!)
I like that this shade is also very versatile. It looks classy when paired with a black dress and it also looks casual when paired with white tee and jeans. I wore it with black and gold and the contrast brought out the nails more. Come to think of it, there is nothing I don’t like about Victoriana! Even though the applicator is a thin one (I still prefer the wider Dior applicator), the nail polish applies easily without streaking, drying just quick enough for me to be doing something else in no time. I hate to be sitting there waiting, crippled by wet nails. Ugh!
Oh wait, there are 2 things I don’t like. I can’t find Butter London in Malaysia and… the price. It retails for GBP12 a bottle and if I remembered correctly, it is even more expensive in Australia (about AUD24.95 I think? I might be wrong). When you convert it back to MYR, it is pricey.
Have you tried Butter London polishes before? Which shade is your fave?
xoxo Lily

Ooo I’ve always wanted this shade but haven’t made up my mind yet! Butter London is hopefully soon coming to Belgium, so I might want to swatch everything before I make up my mind! Love Victoriana on you!

Oh Sunny, I think it’ll look great on you. I think this shade looks good across skin tones. Another one I got from Zuneta is Dosh. It’s a warm lime green that I think will look beautiful against our warm skintone!
You can try RevolveClothing.com, they sells Butter LONDON for USD14 each, but the shipping rate is USD10 (free shipping above USD100); and in Australia, most nail salons retail them for AUD21.
I have quite a number of BL nail polishes myself too!
Oh, thanks for the recommendation! I will go look at Revolve Clothing… like right now
A rather complex shade that caught my fancy! I need to bag myself more Butter polishes now that you’ve reminded me!

You have to take a look at this one. It’s really beautiful!
dang! I wasn’t aware Zuneta did free ship promos. Their standard delivery costs to ‘rest of world’ are usually quite high, hence I seldom look to Zuneta.
Victoriana looks lovely on your nails!
Did you buy All Hail the Queen (aka McQueen) by any chance? I would love to see an NOTD on that.
Hey milktea, I didn’t get that
The other shade I got was Dosh which I will post soon. This free shipping promo was for purchases GBP30 and above, which really isn’t that hard to do! I usually make announcements like these (promos that I know of) on twitter and Facebook
Never tried Butter London before, but I hope it will come to Belgium soon! I’m not always a fan of blue np, but this one is gorgeous! I think it’s the glitters that won me over! I also looove your pictures!

They’re not available here either, but isn’t great there’s online shopping? LOL! This one is a very unique shade and the glitters are not over the top. Oh, thanks for the compliment! Maybe I love this nail polish so much that I took hundreds of pictures… these are just the tip of the iceberg. Hahahah!
It Australia it’s A$12-14 on sale
