Monthend Randomness: Guilty Pleasure!

I re-wrote the introduction a few times and I couldn’t get it right. I give up. So, I’m just going to jump right in and confess. I will share my guilty pleasures with you, so don’t judge ;-) I indulge in these once in a while, so I guess it’s still ok. Haha!

I watch teen dramas like this

I’ve read all the 3 books even though they were badly written with shallow story line. In fact, all 3 books can be summarized into half a book if you took out all the sex scenes. Oh well, this is porn in ink anyway!

I watch animations, from Anime to cartoons. Actually, I love cartoons!

Can you guess who this character is and from which cartoon?

Last but not least, I love my kimchi! Kimchi hot pot with ramen is absolutely delicious :-) However, the kimchi I’m referring to here are the K-dramas. Some stories are good, but in the end, it’s really about the pretty.

Well, that’s some of my guilty pleasures revealed. Let’s just stop here, and not venture deeper. Care to share yours?

xoxo Lily

I admit I watch animes… Mostly the hubby’s doing ;-) I should start watching K-dramas as well. A lot of the ladies in my family are absolutely hooked. And they keep telling me that there is a lot of eye candy too.

    • Lily

I can’t agree more with k-dramas. I usually watch it on dramacrazy.net – there’s a whole slew of awesomeness. If you like historical dramas, you can watch Faith. If you’re into melodrama & revenge, then Innocent Man is good. If you like action, you must watch City Hunter. LOL…just a few to get you started ;-)

  • Charlotte

I watch vampire diaries and read 50shades too! obsessed with it! And I heard Ian Somerhalder is going to play Christian Grey! EXCITED!

    • Lily

Really? Christian Grey isn’t that much different from Damien, in a way… wonder when they’re going to announce the confirmed cast. Interesting to see ;-)

  • Bugs

Yeah, cartoons are good for ya. Trust me !! ^_^

    • Lily

That’s good to know because I love cartoons :-)

    My guilty pleasure? Fanfiction, naturally!

It takes me a LOT to actually go on to liking a certain book/anime/movie/game series, but when I do fall in love with them, I fall HARD. I have written quite a few fanfics from many universes but most of all – Call of Duty (game), Blood+ (anime) and Avatar: the Last Airbender ^.^

I’m usually reading fanfics when I’m not writing, and I stalk just as many fanfics as I stalk blogs! ^.^

    • Lily

To be honest, I haven’t read any fan fictions before. I’ve seen some fanmade videos, and that’s about it. I’m gonna go google it now, because I’m curious :-)

  • Gin

i love anime!!(slam dunk is my no. 1!) i love jap variety shows!!

haha, somehow i am not interested to the very heated k-pop at all!!!

    • Lily

Oh, Japanese variety shows are very entertaining! Some make me ROFL literally ;-)

Haha, this post cracked me up. I love cartoons, too! They are easy to watch and sometimes less stressful than other types of film/tv, haha.

    • Lily

My children are only 3 and 5 years old. Sometimes, I even watch baby cartoons. Timmy Time is pretty good… I’m surprised how funny these shows are ;-)

Haha I love cartoons too! I have a weakness for ones like Spongebob Squarepants, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends (I MISS this one!), etc. I used to watch animes, but I felt like I had watched all the good ones (at least in the category that I like), so I stopped.

    • Lily

Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends is funny! I grew up watching animes, like Dragon Balls, Macross and such. I’m pretty sure they were brought in from Hong Kong because they were dubbed in Cantonese. Now, on my cable tv, there’s Animax, so I get to watch whenever I have the time, choosing whatever language I want, from Malay to Chinese to English to Japanese ;-)
