December Empties
It’s that time of month again and I’m getting pretty consistent in my empties. Yay! There is a mixture of products this month, a skincare, 2 eye products and a shower gel. Hey, I never said empties are limited to skincare and makeup products only ok? Hair and body products count too 
You can read about my review of Dermalogica Precleanse here. I still love it very much. I’m now using the Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil, but I still prefer the scent of Precleanse. It makes me feel so relaxed and I love to take a deep breath, taking in all the beautiful scent while removing makeup. After I’m done with the Bobbi Brown one, I’m going back to Precleanse.
The Revlon mascara is dry to start with, and after about 3 months, I just couldn’t make it work anymore. Same with the Estee Lauder Punker Black eyeliner. I used it every day since I got it, and within 2 to 3 months, it just dried out! Hhmmm… I don’t know what to think about this. I thought maybe it could last me 6 months.
The Body Shop shower gel is not too bad and I do like the soft sophisticated scent of Moroccan Rose. My skin was kept moisturized and I didn’t feel the need to apply any body lotion after shower. I’m back to using Dove, and when I’m done with that, I plan to go back to my L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil. That’s how I do it, actually. I rotate luxury with affordable 
What did you use up this month? I’m surprised I have a few more to show you next month! I thought I’d be running out of empties to post but I think I’m getting better at finishing things. Woots!

Yeah, I think it’s about time for me to toss my same Revlon mascara too. I used it once, hated it, then promptly forgot about it. I always feel so wasteful throwing away full product but this stuff is just atrocious!!

Haha! I didn’t get much use from it anyway. If you haven’t used it for a while, it might have dried up already too!

Ooh yay! I always get mixed feelings about empties though, especially using up expensive staples.

I’m loving Detmalogica! The pre-cleanse sounds lovely. I know what you mean by relaxing, it’s a luxury. The Bobbi Brown cleansing balm is very lovely too!

Like Larie, I didn’t empty as many products this month as previous months. I’m going to roll my December empties into my January ones to keep up my spirits.
Wait… I take back my previous comment. I opened up my MU Inventory & Empties spreadsheet* and I have a lot of December empties! Most are makeup samples that I forced myself to go through and a few candles. I think I’m getting over my month-long obsession with candles. (yay!)

Yeah… I’m crazy. I did the inventory after reading a few of Liz’s (@Reductionista) inventory posts. It took me a really long time to complete, so I figured I’d maximize the utility of my efforts by making a complementary spreadsheet of my empties. For the latter, I copied and pasted the empty product from the Inventory spreadsheet and wrote brief remarks on how I liked or didn’t like the product.
Let me say it again: I’m crazy.
Not crazy, just meticulously detailed. I’m soooooooooo NOT like that. Hahaha!
I didn’t realise how time consuming the process would be until after I put in a couple of hours. After that, I had to figure out ways to make the most of my work.
All that obsessive behaviour aside, keeping an inventory is *extremely* helpful for keeping my stash size small. It kind of bugs me to add new things to the list, but all is good when I get to remove things.
Great job, girl! I wish I had the patience to sit down and get that done. LOL
I could’ve added one more item to this post, but there’s still a teeny weeny bit left so into January empties it goes
