FOTD: Inglot Green and Taupes

Many of you requested for me to do some looks using the Inglot palettes I featured the other day. I have done 2 for you today, done using both the palettes. Here are the palettes I created again, and I labelled them for colour reference. I haven’t managed to get the pans out yet so I still don’t know the numbers. Oops!

For foundation, I used Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup in 220 Nude. It’s the lightest colour available and I was testing out the foundation. Review will be up later, after I really got a feel of it. I used 2a to fill in my brows and on my lips, I was wearing Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in 035 Blush. I used Chanel Notorious to contour my cheeks and to give me some nose bridge. I also used 2 coats of Diorshow Extase mascara on my lashes.

Here is the look I created using Palette 1. 1a was used to highlight my brow bones, 1c on my lids and 1b to smudge on my lower lashline. 1d pink on my cheeks. For this look, I used brown eyeliner on my upper lash line and a green liner on my lower lash line. I wanted this to be softer, and also something a little more different than the other look I created for you. This is brighter and cooler which also looks younger.

Palette 2 is much warmer due to the taupes and also the red blush. This red is SOOOOOOO pigmented that I had to use powder to tone it down. And yet, it is so beautiful. I used 2a on my crease, 2b on my lids and 2c on the outer corner of my eyes and also on my lower lashline. 2d red on my cheeks. I used a black kohl liner on my upper lids, and a pink brightener pencil (Benefit Eye Bright) on my lower lash line. The black helps define the eyes more, and since this is a darker look, the pink helps open up the eyes, making me look more awake.

How do you like both the looks? Which one do you prefer? There are so many more looks I can create using both these palettes. If you were to create one, what would you use? Tell me the colour combination and I’ll try it one day :-) I hope you enjoyed this post. It sure was fun having 2 looks on one face. I had to wash it off immediately after taking the photos just in case I went out like that. LOL!

xoxo Lily

Oh I LOVE both! You definitely picked colors I’d reach for often, and that red isn’t so scary once it’s on either :)

YES! That was my whole objective…picking colours easily wearable, something hassle free for both day and night. The blushes are super pigmented though. I used a very light hand, and still had to use powder to sheer it out. Sooooo awesome. LOL!

can i bother you by asking for the color names (numbers) for the second palette? i was on the inglot site but it was kinda hard to match..

I love both looks. I’m going to have to try something like the first look since I have that green. I don’t yet have a cranberry e/s to try out the second look but I’ll have fun trying to come up with something comparable.

By the way, I decided not to pick up the tinted lip balm that was being held for me. It means that I’ve held true to my “makeup ban” since December 24 (got a mascara for Christmas dinner). I’ve committed to the ban at least 2 months, but I’m interested in how much longer I can go. Strangely, I’ve still been browsing many of the online holiday sales (why must I torture myself?!) but I’ve stayed strong. :) How are you keeping to your goals?

Finally, a BIG congratulations on being named the newest Lipstick Bandit! I follow several of those bloggers and I’m happy to see you added to the happy family. :)

ps I didn’t really need that mascara… but I’d heard that Maybelline Falsies Mascara was amazing and I’m in want of a local replacement to my Heroine Make Volume & Curl. Have you tried the Heroine Make mascaras yet? The Volume & Curl one gives me a false-lash effect!

      • Lily says:

I haven’t tried anything from Heroine Make before. I usually choose mascaras as GWP (soooooo handy) so I haven’t been really buying mascaras lately. Hehe

    • Lily says:

Thanks BooBooNinja! I hope you’ll give the looks a go. I’m still sticking to my no makeup ban, just a little more than a month to go :-) Congratulations to sticking to yours too. Haha! And yes, yay to joining the bandits. It’s gonna be fun!
