Be Good To Your Skin with RMS: Cover with “Un” Cover-Up
Organic makeup. This is my first RMS Beauty product and if you’re not familiar with the brand, RMS Beauty is an original, pure, organic color cosmetic line created by celebrity makeup artist Rose Marie Swift… consider it skincare with mineral color – giving makeup a whole new meaning…RMS Beauty claims that its organic ingredients are non-toxic, and they actually heal and nourish the skin. You can go to their official website to have a look.
Today, I will feature the “un” cover-up. Since the brand in not available in Malaysia, I bought it from Zuneta. I think I mentioned my experience buying from this site before. I love shopping there! Back to the “un” cover-up. First of all, I thought the name is rather catchy. I’m also curious about their Lip2Cheek and Living Luminizer, and when my makeup ban is over, I will consider getting them The “un” cover-up is a concealer and can be used as a foundation as well. There are shades 11, 22, 33 and 44, 11 being the lightest. I was unsure about this or the 22, but I ended up with the lightest shade available.
The product is very creamy. As soon as I touched it with my finger, I was taken aback. Oh dear. It’s rich and creamy and might not work on my skin in this crazy humid weather. I tried it on, dabbing it onto my blemishes and the product just blended into my skin so well that it disappeared. One word came into my mind… Interesting!…
Then, the smell. I want to say that it smells like a mixture of coconuts and clay. If you don’t have a very sensitive nose, you might not detect it. It took a little while for me to get used to it, but now, I kinda like it For this product, a little goes a long way. I like to use this as a concealer, and it works great covering up both blemishes and dark circles. It is hydrating, and according to the product description, it helps to heal too. I can’t say this product alone made my previously bumpy skin better, but I can definitely tell you it didn’t make the bumps worse.
Now look at the swatch and the texture. Can you see how rich and thick the texture is? However, once blended, it just melts and blends into my skin. I tried using it as a foundation. Instead of applying it all over my face, I only applied a thin layer where I needed it. I use my ring finger, dab on some product and blend it out. I couldn’t tell where the “un” cover-up starts, and where it ends! The product description says that it mimics the colour of our skin and I think it’s true (provided you picked a shade that is not too far off, of course). It’s absolutely gorgeous, just like I have great skin. While the product does absorb into skin, I still have to set it with powder. My skin (even without makeup) gets oily by noon so if I didn’t powder, I will look very shiny by then. With this on, I blot the shine away then touch up with powder only. The coverage is still there, which is great.
I’ve been loving this lately, and I’ve been using this religiously since I got it more than a month ago. Many of my blogger friends overseas have been raving about this, and now I understand why. Have you tried anything from RMS Beauty? If not, I suggest you give it a go. It’s good!
