Happy Bandit Valentine
A look for Valentine’s Day. I’ve been scratching my head, wondering what I am to do for this post. I’ve already done understated elegance. I’ve also done a sultry look. Both, in my opinion, are suitable for Valentine’s Day. Both are also based on a pink theme. So perhaps, today, I will be inspired by roses and teddy bears. Well, mostly roses 
Roses are red, violets are blue, Valentine’s Day is a gimmick, for businesses to make money off of you. Hahahahahah!!! Way to destroy the romantic notion. Anyway, back to roses. I want to feature a pair of red. A pair that gives you rosy red lips yet soft and plush like teddy bears. They are Lunasol Full Glamour Lips G in 40 Red Beige and Lunasol Full Glamour Liquid Lips in 15 Clear Red Beige. I have these in my stash for a while now, and I have yet to write about them. How appropriate is it for me to pull them out now for my Lipstick Bandit post?
The lipstick (Red Beige) is very smooth and buttery, with balm-like feeling on the lips. It has a sheen that is understated, which makes lips look fuller and softer. The gloss (Clear Red Beige) can be worn on its own, but when applied on top of the lipstick, it adds volume to the lips without being tacky or sticky. Both are said to contain beauty essence ingredients, but I don’t have the ingredients list, and even if I do, I can’t read Japanese. The SA said that these lipsticks do not stain the lips, and the more I wear them, the softer my lips are.

I think these are great for those who are picking up courage to wear bold red lips which can be intimidating. The red has a warm undertone, and on the lips, they look very soft and feminine. On me, this combination wears for 3 hours before signs of fading. Good news is, even though the texture is super balmy, there is no feathering or bleeding.
This is a look I came up with using these 2 lip products. I wanted the focus to be on my soft kissable lips, and a flush that looks as if I was a little embarrassed. I kept my eyes soft and bright, and skipped falsies again because I really don’t like wearing them.

Blush: Shiseido Camellia Compact
Eyes: Dior Cherie Bow Palette 002 Rose Perle

I wish I could tell you, but I don’t have pale shimmery pinks like that in my stash. And yes, Lunasol makes pretty good glosses. If I was more of a gloss girl, I’d flip. LOL!

Is the Camellia compact still available? I think it’s sold out here… talking about Shiseido, their new Perfect Rouge and Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer are pretty awesome. I grabbed one each the other day

unfortunately I won’t be back this cny – In fact we are hardly ever back for it as hb hates the traffic ( last time we were back we were stuck in a traffic jam of 8 hours from Taiping to PJ!!!) and commitments. I’ve out in my makeup orders and can’t wait for someone to fly over with them!!

Oh, I know what you mean…traffic is CRAZY during CNY, but KL is usually quiet, since everyone left for their hometowns. Ipoh is full of people, everywhere! It’s already getting crowded now. People are coming home. Then again, it’s part of the CNY atmosphere – just once a year
