Dior Diorsnow White Reveal Extreme Cooling Gel Mask Brings Cool Back

I recently received some Dior Diorsnow skincare products and the first one I want to tell you about is Dior Diorsnow White Reveal Extreme Cooling Gel Mask with Icelandic Glacial Water. The name implies it to be a gel mask, so you might think it’s in a tube where you squeeze some gel out, apply and wash off. It’s not. It’s a sheet mask, but feels like jelly, literally. A soft jelly out of the fridge! Intriguing? Imagine my first impression when I expected nothing of this sort. I was literally wow-ed by it. I don’t use a lot of sheet masks, and this is something totally new to me. I’m still enamoured by it.

The packaging of this set of masks is not unlike an album. It looks a lot like a book with cover. You take out the album from the cover and you can see a set of 6 masks, separated into upper part and lower part for the face. This is to ensure a better fit as all facial shapes are different. Each mask is held inside a foil bag like so…

Diorsnow mask open

The gel mask plays hide and seek with you. The first time I opened it, I was expecting to see white masks so I had to look carefully to find the translucent gel mask inside. You have to be careful when handling the mask especially if you have long nails. You might accidentally poke a hole in it, and it’ll rip apart. How did I know? Experience, babe >.< The floppy jelly mask is wet and cold, certainly not for the squirmish. However, I thought it’s so cool! I put on the mask and my face gets a cooling feeling after the first 15 seconds. Melanin production is slowed down and absorption of the Diorsnow skincare I apply after this mask is boosted.

I cropped the ingredients for you but you have to click on the picture to enlarge it.

I was contemplating whether to show you this photo but what the heck. This is how I look like with the gel mask on. Don’t laugh. It takes courage to put it up, yo! I couldn’t look at the camera with a straight face, hence this. It’s a little small for my wide face but you couldn’t really tell where the edges are, can you? I also like that the mask covers part of my lids. I apply this, lie down on my bed, close my eyes for 10 to 15 mins and take it off. I massage the remaining serum into my face and my face looks so bright and fresh!

Diorsnow before

Here’s a picture I took right after I took off the mask. See how bright my bare face is? I have nothing on, haven’t applied the rest of the skincare yet, and the only thing I did was brighten the photo for you. My skin tone looks more even nowadays, and skin has calmed down a lot, save the open pores at the side of my fat nose, but let’s just stop right here. I don’t want to jinx myself.

Diorsnow after

The instruction says to use this once a week for 6 weeks for brighter looking skin. Truthfully, I can’t wait for next week to come. This set of masks retails for RM355 and is available at all Dior counters nationwide. The Diorsnow line might be Asia exclusive, so if you see it in your country, I’d appreciate it if you’d let me know :-)

Are you tempted to try?

xoxo Lily

Nice! Looks very interesting but I have tons of sheet masks to go through, which reminds me that I have to do some masking today :-)

I’ve always preferred cream masks instead of sheet masks, but this one is really good :-)

Hahaha this looks like so much fun! I used to do sheet masks once every week, but then I discovered dry oil so I basically no longer use any hydrating masks :p I bet it’s nice and cool out of the fridge. Great for summer!

I have yet to find a face oil that works on me without breaking me out, and I always enjoy pampering my own skin with a weekly mask. I don’t put this mask in the fridge, but what a great idea! I’ll try that :-)

A very long time ago, I tried a few gel masks (not from Dior) and to be honest, I just didn’t like them. I’ve since then never tried another one, but I should give this another chance since Dior is one of my favorite brands.

What brand was that? I seriously haven’t tried any other mask that looks like this. I thought the texture is awesome!

Oooh this looks sooo cool–VERY refreshing and depuffing! I imagine this would be great for hot summer days or for puffy skin due to hangovers or a brutal crying session, etc. :P haha! I’m curious though, is the actual mask made of the gel version of the serum (like, will it melt eventually into a serum) or is is just a gel mask soaked in serum?? So interesting!

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

LOL yeah, I guess it does help de-puff the eyes, especially the cooling factor. This is a gel mask soaked in serum. It doesn’t dissolve but it would be super cool if it did!!

This sounds so cool and your skin looks great! Now that my skin is more under control, I’ve been enjoying masks a lot more lately. But mostly I just want to poke at the jiggly jelly feel of this thing, lol.

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

I know right? It’s slippery and wet and cold and jiggly. LOL! My skin has been treating me very well lately :-P

It looks so refreshing and relaxing and … jiggly! :)
I didn’t laugh at you. Instead, I was thinking how soothing those masks must be. Lucky duck. :)

LOL thanks. Yes, it’s very soothing and cooling, excellent for our weather here.
