Sunday Stash Shopping #5

This week, I decided to go khaki. I pulled out my mini Dior Royal Khaki quint and my Chanel Vert Khaki, along with Urban Decay pencil liner in Stash. Base products are pretty much the same. The same Diorsnow face powder which I have scheduled a review for (watch out for it next week), the Shiseido base that just. won’t. die. (ugh!), the Clarins Vitamin Pink blush that only has a quarter left, my ever faithful brow companion from Shu Uemura (review also out next week), and a sample mascara from Estee Lauder. I also added a highlighter in my routine and rekindled my love for Dior Amber Diamond. For lips, I decided something sheer so I stuck with Clinique Chubby Stick in Oversized Orange.

The emphasis of this look is definitely the eyes. I smudge Stash on my upper and lower lash lines before using Vert Khaki all over my lids. With the gold from Royal Khaki, I highlight the inner corners of my eyes. Sometimes, I’d use the gold to go over my lower lash line for a brighter look, and sometimes I’d just use Vert Khaki on my lower lash line. Finish off with 2 coats of mascara and we’re done. Here is the finished look.

Easy, right?? Of course, we can make it more complicated by adding some black and silver, but I don’t do that for work. Mornings are always a rush (a little morning stress just for that few minutes of extra sleep) so I keep things simple. Something that can get me out of the house in 10 minutes. I hope you liked this khaki theme. Will try another one for the next Sunday Stash Shopping.

Is there a colour in particular that you want me to wear? I’m feeling generous, so I’m taking in requests :-P

xoxo Lily

Lily how on earth do you make it all look so effortless and breezy?!! You are stunning and I LOVE this look. I am really partial to khaki on the eyes (speaking of which, what the HECK happened to all my khaki shadows? I haven’t worn one in a surprisingly long time and I can’t seem to find any of them! :/). Need to go searching bc this post has made me really want to wear some khaki :)

You have to dig out your khakis! They’re so beautiful and really, the colour itself makes the look. Love shades like this!

You look gorgeous with khaki, I think it might be one of my favourite shades on you! I love the lip paired with it, it’s a nice touch of shade but it’s subtle enough. Looking really great Lily!

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Thanks Teri. The oversized orange looks surprisingly fresh considering how sheer it is!

  • sataa

Gorgeous!! you always pick great color combinations and blend them so well they give a very soft and natural look. I would like to see what kind of eye shadow combinations would you use with plum and dark red lip colors I mostly use neutral color eye shadows but I want to see what you would use as you come up with new combinatios

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Plum eyes and dark red lip. That’s tough, Sataa! Haha! I’ll try to come up with something :-)

      • sataa

no, not plum eyes I want to know what kind of eye shadow combination would you use with plum lip color and dark red lip color you always use different eye shadow combinations and they look so good so I would love to see what eye shadow colors would you use with these 2 lip colors :)

        • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Ah I see. Lol sorry for the confusion. I’ll see what I can do :-)

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Thanks Tracy. The base its ok but because I’ve tried better ones, this doesn’t seem to be that good anymore, you know what I mean?

Hey Lily, you know how big I am on khaki so naturally I LOVE this look on you! The choice of lippie is excellent as well! I like how Oversized Orange adds just enough color but not too much. Another winning Sunday Stash Shopping edition!

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Thanks Sunny. I enjoyed using some colours this time round, even though khaki is still considered a neutral! At least it’s not brown again! Lol!

  • http://Mylucitedreams.com Taylor

I love these shades on you. It definitely looks more thank 10 minute face!

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Haha! I know. Definitely the khaki and gold, making this lol more complicated :-)

  • BooBooNinja

I don’t know how you can pull together all that in so short a time!

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

It’s very easy, trust me! Maybe I’m used to it?

      • BooBooNinja

I reread your post and I’m going to do it. I often skip doing my eyes; I must think eye makeup needs to be time consuming. I’m going to have fun trying to break that belief. Tonight I’m going to play with my makeup! :)

        • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Yay! Let me know how it goes :-)

  • http://eyeheartit.blogspot.com Larie

I love khaki on eyes, too. Do something with color next, Lily! How about purple? :D

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Ok. Purple it is! I’ll dig out my purples. I have quite a few :-)

  • AhCapp

    Hiya,

I love how this look on you! I love it! :) definitely a good break away from the normal boring natural brown I’m so used to. :(

Do you have any suggestions which are office appropriate? Eg: how to do some twist with boring brown combinations? Or khaki or taupe would be other good combinations which I can explore? :)

Thank you for sharing with us! I do love your blog! :D

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Thanks AhCapp. You could add a coloured liner to your brown shadows, or dab a bit of gold at the centre of your lids. These are little accents that make a boring look less boring ;-)

      • AhCapp

Fantastic suggestion!!! :) I have many urban decay colored eyeliners but I was wondering if I should wait for special occasion to use them. I will definitely give your suggestion a try! :)))

I also have gold eyeshadows! Ok I’ll add it onto my boring brown eyeshadow look. ;)

Thank you for your advice! :D
