Tried and Tested: Diorsnow Anti Spot Targeting Serum

I am a serum junkie.

I always think that if I wanted something to work, then I have to use the serum. Serums are like THE thing that targets problematic areas or concerns. I used to have pimples here and there, and I’d have a problem with restraining my itchy fingers, so I’d pick on them and end up with marks. So, I nearly always look for serums that will lighten those marks. Then, along came Dior Diorsnow Anti Spot Serum.

I have been using this every night since middle of March. It’s been 3 months now, and I am still using one squeeze of this serum every night on my entire face. I also use another serum for day, but I’ve told you that already. Diorsnow Anti Spot Serum is newly introduced to the Diorsnow line. I have told you about the Diorsnow D-NA Control White Reveal Day Essence before and this Anti Spot Serum is supposed to be for night use. Compared to the Day Essence, this Anti Spot Serum is thicker in texture and more difficult to spread all over the face. So, what I do is to work quickly right after toner, and work this serum in while skin is still damp.

After 3 months, my skin has never seen better days. I am dead serious. I started using this before adding my day time brightening routine and I have already seen some results then. My skin looks brighter, more even, and more importantly, those unwanted dark spots caused by pimples are gone. G.O.N.E!!!!! My freckles are still there, and I don’t think anything will take them away, but they do look lighter. Not as dark and prominent as before. I am HAPPY :-D I can now get away with just concealer and a light dusting of powder, NO foundation, and my skin looks healthy. I don’t look sallow or tired, but just radiant, dewy and well, smooth.

I combine this serum with the Diorsnow moisturizer to keep my face well hydrated. My skin has not flaked once since I’m on this routine and it’s just been getting better. It might be the combo, but hey, if it’s working now, I’m sticking to it until something better comes along. Below is the blown up ingredients list in case you’re curious.

I have been eating less junk, I have been eating healthier and I have been exercising. This might also contribute to healthier skin, so while what we apply on the skin counts, what we put inside our body is important too. Exercising gets the blood pumping and skin tingling, and when the rush of endorphin kicks in, it feels satisfying :-) A 30ml bottle retails for RM340 while a 50ml bottle costs RM450. If you are looking for a serum that will lighten your dark spots, you might want to look this way.

Endorphins are the best! But I still hate working out hahaha. Glad to hear your skin is looking amazing lately, mine’s started acting up more than usual this month, so I’m trying to get it sorted out. Might give this a look when I’m done combing through my stash :)

Thanks MM. It’s difficult to use up everything though. Before I use one up, I’ll get sent another. I’m hoping I’ll be able to try Caudalie serums soon. Been hearing too many good things about it!

  • http://eyeheartit.blogspot.com Larie

I love these kinds of spot correcting serums. I just ran out of mine so I need another one, but I will prolly opt for something cheaper – prolly Vichy again :D

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

I haven’t tried Vichy, but I’ve heard lots about Caudalie. When I’ve used up my serums, I’m going for Caudalie :-)

I love when skincare actually WORKS. I find most of the time serums work better for me as well! This sounds great-not sure if it’s available here though.

Definitely priceless when skincare works! Diorsnow might be Asian exclusive, but I’ve been reading that some countries are getting the line too.

    Before and after photo please~~~~!
    This sounds promising! !!!!

LOL I didn’t take any photos before I started so you’re just going to have to take my word for it. You can see my photos of late, and my skin is much better than before, where I’ll have some bumps here and there, and some marks here and there too :-)

  • http://icarias.blogspot.ca Icaria

Oooh it’s great that it worked for you! I don’t have much discoloration more redness. I have Caudalie’s and rarely use it for I find it very moisturizing (I have combination skin) but I know it well loved.

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Hi Icaria. I read that Pai does some great ones to combat redness :-) Have you tried that brand?

I am *really* intrigued by this! I have lots of dark spots from sun and acne that I’d love to fade away. I am heartened that this actually worked! I just checked and it’s available for $150 USD on the USA Dior site! Weeeeee! :D

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

This definitely works for spots caused by acne, but I’m not sure about spots caused by the sun. Either way, it makes your skin look more glowy for sure. You have to try it and then let me know what you think!

      • http://www.glambunctious.com Kristen @ Glambunctious

I will! This serum has been added to my wish list for Fall when I’m not going to be in the sun much and can really knuckle down and be serious about it! :) Yay! Thank you for sharing!

My pleasure :-) I hope you’ll like it!

  • http://beautyreductionista.blogspot.ca/ Liz

Not sure if I can keep up with the working out/eating healthy bit, so maybe I’ll splash out for the serum someday… lol!

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

HAHAHA! Love you Liz. I don’t keep it up 100% of the time either. I had some chocolates yesterday… but I’m happy if I can be good 80% of the time :-)

  • Charlotte

I was so tempted to get this serum when I was in HK! It was retailed for 800HKD (around RM320). But I went for the SK2 Facial Treatment Essence instead, which is almost RM150 cheaper over there as compared to Malaysia. After reading your review, I kinda regret not getting this! Arghhhhh *pulls hair* ><!!

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

LOL! I stay away from SKII stuff because those I tried broke me out. My skin might have changed and I can take it now, but I’m not keen to fork out that much money just to try it out :-P Dior has always worked on me, so I’m putting my faith in them, as always :-)

  • http://www.lifecellskin.us/ Emma Brown

Wow! I think it is a great product. I have unwanted darkspots on my face and I think this cream might be good for my skin. Moreover I agree that a healthy diet and daily exercise also results in a healthier skin.

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

You should try this then. It’s done all sorts of good things to my skin :-)

  • BooBooNinja

I’ve got a couple of skin brightening/dark spot-removing products on the go, but you’ve got me interested in this one. I’ve recently realised my face is a shade or two darker than my neck and body. Gahhhhh. It could be worse, I suppose. Thank goodness I’m diligent with sunscreen application.

    • http://www.chloeash.com Lily

Oh yes, sunscreen is a must if you want to prevent dark spots. You should try this if you can get it. I really love this :-)
