This look is inspired by @Lisa_Eldridge’s latest video – Old Hollywood Inspired Party Look With Vintage Golds. While I was watching it, I was already thinking how I’d do it on my own features. I just featured the Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood eye palette, and it’s perfect for this look! To watch Lisa’s tutorial on YouTube, click here.
For the eyes, I used Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Sunlight Gold all over the lid as a base. Sunlight Gold is already quite shimmery, so all I needed was to gently pat on Gold sparkle eye shadow. All eyeshadows used were from the Old Hollywood palette. To add a little definition, I used Beige on the hollow of my eye socket and Chocolate Bronze on my lower lash line. Ivory was perfect to highlight the brow bones too That’s it for the eyes. Quite simple, isn’t it? I used MAC gel liner in Blitz & Glitz to tightline and a few coats of my Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara. Some lashes would make my eyes look bigger and lashes more defined, but if you’re a regular reader, you’d know how I feel about them
For the lips, I used Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in Nocturne. It photographs brighter, but in real life, it is a deeper red. I used NARS Laguna bronzer on my cheeks, and I didn’t add any blush. I actually quite like the paler cheeks and ka-pow red lips. The eyes are quite shiny too so it’s great for parties. What do you think? Should I have added some blush so I didn’t look like a vampire? LOL!
That is my take on Lisa’s look. I love all her videos. She makes her tutorials easy to follow, and doesn’t blab or yap on and on and on about other stuff, you get what I mean. What would I give to have my makeup done by her!
So anyway, what do you think I could have done to improve this look? Feedback appreciated, guys! As always, thanks for reading and have a great Monday!
