Review: Nuxe Anti-Fatigue Moisturizing Eye Cream

I just emptied this bottle. Yup, I’ve been delaying the review for a while, because not many of you are interested in eye creams, and there’s nothing in particular that really stands out about this product. I picked it up for a few reasons: I was on an eye cream craze, it’s affordable (RM108/15ml) compared to brands I’m used to and it’s easy. Fuss free. I wanted something light and moisturizing for the day, and this delivers.

Don’t let the size of the bottle fool you. There really isn’t a lot of product but most eye creams are sold at 15ml only anyway. I use only half a pump and initially, I’d squeeze out too much, so if you were to use it, be careful. I actually thought pumping it out was a hassle, but I grew to appreciate it. I mean, I don’t have to dip my finger in a pot so hygienically speaking, this is great. The texture is very lightweight and it absorbs into the delicate area very quickly. Good thing to note is, concealers apply wonderfully on top of this eye cream.

This is how much I use, for both my eyes. I dab in the eye cream instead of massaging it in. It doesn’t brighten my eyes, and I wouldn’t say it energizes my eyes either, but it’s moisturizing enough and it’s all I wanted. A very basic eye cream that keeps my eyes hydrated. You know, I could just say that very last sentence and be done with the whole review but I like to ramble :-P

Do you use eye creams? How do you take care of your eyes? I bought this at Sasa for RM108. I am now trying another eye cream, something richer for my ageing eyes. That combo seems to be working quite well, so I’ll share with you after I’ve tested properly.

On another note, I’m going to do major spring cleaning this weekend because there are quite a few things I don’t use anymore (but still hoarding) so I have to donate those. Of course, I’ll have to get a mask for myself, because my nose is very allergic to dust. I’m like a dust detector. LOL! Happy weekend everyone :-)

Happy Weekend and god luck cleaning! I’m using a Vichy eye cream at the moment, and I like it. I find eye creams really don’t do much else besides moisturise, so I don’t expect them to do much more than that.

LOL you’re right that we notice the moisturizing part. I have dark circles and sometimes puffy eyes, and some I’ve tried have significant effects on reducing those, and I was so happy. Hahaha!

Skin care isn’t the most exciting but I always want to know what works or doesn’t. This one sounds decent to me. I might pick it up after I run out of the current one but want to know about the new one you’re using. ;)

Hahahaha! I’m now using a combo of Dior Capture Totale eye cream and Dior One Essential for Eyes. One Essential to detoxify then the Capture Totale eye cream for firming and reducing fine lines. I doubt I can see any reduction in fine lines because that would be rewinding time and I’d be happy for not getting more so soon, but I can definitely see less puffiness, more hydration :-)

I agree – eye creams are mostly for hydration. If they’re hydrated, they’re not constantly creasing into lines and stuff anyway, so that’s anti-aging, no? Hahahaha!

    • Lily

You’re right, Prof Larie :-) The more I age, I find I need richer creams… but if it’s too rich, concealers don’t stay. Hahaha… so for days, I choose lighter ones that are just as moisturizing. This one seems to do the trick!

Hey Lily, oh I’m interested in eye creams! My undereye area could be a pain in the a*! So far my favorite is the one from Pai. It doesn’t really do anything spectacular, but it moisturizes well without being greasy or heavy. I do agree there isn’t much to write home about when it comes to the majority of the eye creams I’ve tried though.

I have one from Pai and I have yet to use it. I think I have to start that some time soon. LOL!

At night I use my regular Avène Ysthéal in the eye area and sometimes in the morning I’ll pat on a little Clinique All About Eyes when I feel the need for it. For deep moisture, unrefined shea butter a few nights a week does the trick for me. I don’t fuss with eye creams anymore. :)

    • Lily

I read a lot about Clinique All About Eyes. I wonder if being minimalistic is best for eyes. I should stop straying from something that works. Maybe I’m trying all these eye potions because I’m just curious by nature :-P

I basically have given up on eyecream but I still use the PR samples I’ve reviewed not too long ago. They seem to work very quietly yet well, so I want to see what happens when I use them up.
For basic hydration, I really like Avene gentle soothing eye cream. Used up more than a couple tubes. :)

I splurge when it comes to eye creams… I think I get a bit paranoid about fine lines becoming full on wrinkles too soon. LOL! I might have a look at this Avene one. Basic hydration is what I need during the day

Haha I have been through that eye cream craze – perhaps I’ve never got off that train. I love hauling eye creams. I think it’s such an important area of the face because it needs TLC to maintain. I def appreciate pump style bottles too. I would recommend the Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Corrective Eye Cream which comes in a pump bottle – moisturizing but not too thick. I wore this in Singapore and it was okay in humid weather. I would love to try this Nuxe eye cream – it’s a brand I’m keen to explore more but it’s so pricey in Tokyo. I keep kicking myself for not stocking up on more while I was in Europe.

I’ll have to drop by Shiseido one day. LOL!

I tried so many eye creams from drugstore to departmental store. Any good recommendation for eye creams for dark circles? I am currently using the Loreal Youth Code one which comes with a dropper but I find that it does nothing for my dark circles and it finishes really fast. I am thinking of getting the Olay one under the Regenerist line since I read some good reviews about it.
