Sunday Stash Shopping #19: Something Green

I was putting up my MAC eye shadows for sale on my blog and they were constantly on my vanity desk. So I decided to pull out a few and do a look with them. Now, I’m thinking maybe I should keep these few… because they actually look quite good on. LOL!

For the eyes, I used Club all over my lids. It’s a duochrome colour that looks all sorts of green and brown. I highlighted my brow bone with Chamomile, and used Warm Me Up as a transition colour at the crease. For something different, Tempting was placed on the lower lash lines but it didn’t really show in the photo. And before I did all these, I tightlined my eyes using MAC Feline, and finished off the look with a few coats of mascara.

I haven’t been using my MUFE Mat Velvet + Foundation for a while, so I decided to bust it out again. Before setting it with Hourglass Diffused Light, I applied Chanel’s cream blush in Intonation. I suppose I could match my lip colour to my blush, but I decided to use something nude.

The finished look? I quite like it :-)

Another gorgeous look! Nude beige is real nice, I still haven’t tried BB’s l/s, hmmm… :)

The Bobbi Brown lipsticks are quite nice. I used to be all over them!

    • Lily

BB lipsticks are pretty good. They just don’t last as long as the other lip products, especially in my weather. They feel really good on the lips though.

I LIKE IT! And hey, you got Intonation! :D

I see you got your answer. Review will be up soon.

  • TracyBeautyReflections

Gorgeous!!! MAC Club was my first MAC eyeshadow and it’s still one of my faves! That BLUSH though. So pretty!

    • Lily

Oh, Intonation will go so well with your purple hair!!

  • Bella

I love it! You must keep these 4 Mac shadows :). I like Club too; I usually wear it with Mulch. I like the way you paired Intonation with a nude lip. Love stash shopping!

    • Lily

Ah, I don’t have Mulch. But yes, I think these 4 are keepers :-) Thanks for encouraging me to continue with this series! Here I was, thinking there have been too many ‘Looks’ on the blog >_<

      • Bella

Definitely not. It’s lovely to see a beauty blogger actually enjoying the products they already own, and I love getting ideas from people combining products I may also own in an unexpected way. It also somehow makes a blogger more credible when they revisit favourite products from time to time, rather than just lauding the next “big thing” all the time. So keep it up :).

        • Lily

Aaw, thanks so much for the encouragement, Bella <3

How gorgeous is Warm Me Up? It does exactly what it says! Why don’t I have this shade? Loving the sheer lip colour by Bobbi Brown as well, can’t fault a your lips but better effect. Pretty!

    • Lily

It does, doesnt it? Warm Me Up is a LE from a few years back :-)

  • Kate Driveller

I love your dimple most of all! <3
But yes, this is a stellar look — glam yet undone. I LOVE that you chose a soft lip with the cheek and eye — I've never thought of doing something that pretty :D

    • Lily

Aaw, thank you sweet Kate! I used to tell a friend that I poked my face with a pencil so I could have a dimple. He believed me. LOL! And you ALWAYS do amazing FOTDs! I don’t know what you’re talking about >_<

Hey Lily, oh yay you got Intonation! I really shouldn’t but I keep looking at it, so I can’t promise it won’t come home with me at some point ;) There definitely are nice shades in the permanent MAC line-up. I don’t own Club (I think it turns really red and muddy on me), but I have WnW Comfort Zone and apparently the duochrome in there is similar. Love this smokey eye!

    • Lily

Thanks Sunny. And yes, you should get Intonation. I think it’ll look great on you!

  • http://eyeheartit.blogspot.com Larie

Absolutely beautiful, Lily! I kind of want Club, now.

    • Lily

Oh! Think of how awesome it is with your red hair!!!

  • Victoria

You look gorgeous Lily. I always love your eye makeup :-) A silly question but I am kind of a newbie when it comes to eye makeup but what is the difference between using a lighter and darker colour as a transition colour at the crease?

    • Lily

Thanks Victoria. Oh, excellent question! I am going to turn this into a blog post :-) Thanks for the great idea!

  • Lily

Hi Rachel, thanks for subscribing and thanks for the comment! Hope you enjoy the rest of the posts :-)

Ooh I lurve it! Definitely put those shadows back in the possibility bin! Club looks great on you, and your skin just looks all sorts of glowy groovy. How is that foundation, btw? Is it a good mattifier?

    • Lily

Hi Kristen, if you like full coverage foundation then this is good. It doesn’t feel heavy and it does control oil quite well :-)

Gosh what a gorgeous selection of makeup…..!! I’ve got to swatch Chanel cream blushes….

    • Lily

You have to swatch them, Yu Ming, and see how you like them. If you prefer your cream blushes to be powdery instead of dewy, then this is it :-)
