…..AND here are the next two. For Looks 1 and 2, click here, for Looks 3 and 4, click here and for the review and swatches of the palette, click here. I don’t think there’s any need for introduction by now unless it’s the first time you read this…. in which case, go to Look 1 and 2. Heh! Laziness at work here. Without further ado…

Rock Star: There’s a wanna-be groupie in all of us and this is the makeup she wears… drop-dead gorgeous, sexy & alluring.

  1. Apply Freestyle from crease to brow
  2. Highlight entire brow bone with Kinky, blending it well into Freestyle
  3. Using Perversion pencil, line upper and lower lash line, about halfway across, from the outer corner toward the inner. Smudge
  4. Sweep Rockstar all the way across lower lash line blending it into the pencil. The shadow should be thick and smudgy. Make sure the edges look soft and fuzzy
  5. Repeat steps #3 and #4 for lower lash line.
  6. Apply Rockstar all the way across upper lid, winging it out a little at the outer corner
  7. Join Rockstar shadow from the upper and lower lash line at the outer corner
  8. Blend Asphalt into Rockstar on upper lid, then work Asphalt into and out of the crease
  9. Apply just a little bit of Blackout right into the crease line. Blend seamlessly into Asphalt
  10. Downblend
  11. Trace a thin line of Blackout tightly along upper and lower lash lines. Go from outer corner about halfway across
  12. Reline outer 1/3 of eye with Perversion pencil. With a brush, fuse it into the shadow along the lash line. Seamlessly blend pencil with shadow
  13. Line the lower waterline all the way across with Perversion pencil.
  14. Line the upper waterline all the way across and into the inner corner with Perversion. Make sure the upper and lower lines meet.

Look5

Personally, I think this look is messy if you’re not used to smokey eyes. The dark grey in Asphalt covers a lot of the purple in Rockstar. So for this look, I’d suggest using Asphalt on the crease BEFORE patting in Rockstar on the lids. It is less messy that way, and less room for mistakes. Asphalt also makes you look like you’ve been cleaning your chimney, so I strongly suggest doing your eye makeup first, then use a makeup remover to clean your face before applying foundation.

Moving on…

Sculpted: A more refined, high-fashion approach to smoky, creating a shape with subtle edges and blending inside the lines is the key.

  1. Apply Freestyle from crease to brow
  2. Highlight entire brow bone with Kinky, blending it well into Freestyle
  3. Using Perversion pencil, line upper and lower lash line, about halfway across, from the outer corner toward the inner. Smudge
  4. Sweep Mushroom across lower lash line, blending it into the pencil. The shadow should be relatively thick, but have a soft yet defined edge to it. Sweep it up and out at the outer corner.
  5. Using Mushroom again, create a soft shape from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye. The shadow should have a soft yet defined edge
  6. Join the shadow from the upper lid and lower lash line together at the outer corner
  7. Fill in the shape on upper lid with Mushroom. Apply a bit more inside the crease creating a seamless effect across the lid
  8. Trace Barlust tightly across the entire upper lash line, blending into Mushroom eye shadow
  9. Trace Barlust tightly about 3/4 of the way across lower lash line. Blend into Mushroom

Look6

I have no idea if I did this right. Barlust doesn’t really show up on top of Mushroom and I have an inkling I’m not supposed to use Mushroom on my lids. I don’t know… you tell me. LOL!

So there you have it, 6 down, 6 to go. We’re halfway through the look book now. Which of the 6 do you like most? I think I like Look 3 best so far, because it’s the easiest to do, not messy yet flattering :-)

Until the next 2!

xoxo Lily

All time favorite look of you: Rockstar. Again very professional application and purple looks stunning on you. <3

    • Lily

Aaw, thank you! Rockstar is a little tricky, but still do-able :-)

Gorgeous gorgeous looks! I really love #1, I think that it’s unexpected and unique. I’m certainly loving them all though, really beautiful work!

    • Lily

Aaw, thanks Taylor. This palette is really great for smokey eyes, that’s for sure.

  • http://www.lenallure.com/ Lena L

I’m happy to see you keep up with this series – my favorite so far!
Dark purple could be the most flattering against dark brown eyes and I see the example of it. Love the first look! :D

    • Lily

Hey Lena, yes, I will be doing all 12, and I just did looks 7 and 8 and boy were they tough! Dark purple definitely brings out brown eyes :-)

  • Icaria

I like both a lot but I must admit I have a weakness for Rockstar!!! Gorgeous blending and it’s stunning on you. :)

    • Lily

Thanks Helene. The purple is a gorgeous shade :-)

  • liyeun

Wow…. The third look may look a little messy but it is actually very glam, to me! I like!

    • Lily

It’s quite tough working these dark sooty colours – I need a few clean blending brushes just to make things less messy!

  • http://beautyreductionista.blogspot.ca/ Liz

Love Rock Star! Sculpted seems to kind of blur a lot more, but I bet both look stunning from afar with the rest of the face. :)

    • Lily

Hey Liz, I have no idea if Sculpted is supposed to look that way. I was confused, still am!

  • http://eyeheartit.blogspot.com Larie

You really make me want this! But I wouldn’t do anything with it, lol! Dangit. So pretty!

    • Lily

Well, I guess if you have the palette, then you will have to use it. LOL!

  • Kate Driveller

You have blending SKILLZ, woman. I actually love the Rockstar look on you — it really makes your eyes amber-smouldery. Also v fond of Look 2 though I agree you could probably achieve the same peacocky effect with other products (hint hint doooo eeet).

    • Lily

LOL and I blended like crazy!!! Imagine if there was no blending in any of the looks. Eeps!!

  • TracyBeautyReflections

    SMOKY GORGEOUS! Love them!

    • Lily

And you, Tracy, rock smokey eyes too! You should get this palette :-)

  • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

OOO yeah, Rockstar looks GREAT! I definitely like a hint of “color” in a smokey eye. It’s way more interesting!

    • Lily

Definitely more interesting. I love that the colours are also dark, so there’s the peekaboo effect… like, is there colour or is there not?? :-P

  • Bella

I am so happy with this series of yours, you make all the looks so wearable. I bought this palette a long time ago because I thought I should live a little, but all I have used is the Perversion eye pencil. I am going to try these!

    • Lily

Aaw, I was hoping you guys weren’t bored with this series, but yay… I’m glad you’re enjoying the looks. There are 3 more posts to feature 6 more looks, so we’ll be done soon :-)

  • http://www.nailsandcupcakes.com/ Isabelle

I was not interested at all in this palette by the colours.. But you made two gorgeous and very wearable looks with this! I really love your looks and love that you’re doing a lot of them now. Keep them coming! :)

    • Lily

Aaw, thanks Isabelle. I’m trying to feature more of these instead of reviews only :-)
