Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood Eye Palette (RM290) is part of the Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood collection where there is also a sexy red lipstick and shiny gold glosses. I will separate the collection to 2 posts, today dedicated to eyes, and the next post, on lips. Let’s leave the talk about the packaging, since the pictures show everything you need to know, and get right to the eye shadows
I’ve had this palette for a long time but I just never got round to posting it. I even took the photos as soon as the palette arrived, edited the photos and then they just sat in my archive. Why? Because I never really busted out the eye shadows to use. So I finally did, and you know what? I like it. I like that it’s dark and smokey and that’s what it is. Smoked Palette.
I have a stupid amount of eye shadows. I take all the criticisms about my spending habits, but I did accumulate these over time. I didn’t buy them all in one day. Still, it doesn’t justify all the other purchases. I mean, I WAS happy getting these, thinking yay! I have all these different colours for so many different looks, for like thousands of eyes!! Woots!!!
I want to make this a short one, because I’m typing this at the very last minute and yet, I want to show you. If you didn’t know already, I’m not a big fan of Chanel eye palettes because we get the baked ones here. However, this palette I’m going to show you is not baked and also, it’s a neutral palette. I can never have enough neutrals (somebody please stop me!) and I got sucked into this one because it just looked too good to pass. Look at that cult Chanel quilt motif on the eye shadows!
I’ve had it. Everybody raves about Rouge Bunny Rouge products especially their eye shadows and blushes. Rouge Bunny Rouge this, Rouge Bunny Rouge that. There’s only so much I can take before I want one (or some, or all) myself. There was a flash sale on Luxola a few weeks back, and I bought these two eye shadows that I’ve been drooling over. They are Abyssinian Catbird and Bohemian Waxwing.
