I took these photos nearing the end of March but didn’t get to post them. This is just a photo documentation for myself on the stuff I used up the first quarter of 2014. There were some I had to toss (last photo) because they were very likely expired but I’m also glad to see some variety here. Bath samples, lots of skincare, even a few makeup items that I used up. I even used up a perfume. I never had an empty perfume bottle! Now, back to collecting these empties for the second quarter!
I figured I really can’t sit on product reviews forever. They’re just going to pile up and I’d give up once and for all. I’ve been meaning to tell you about this moisturizer I’ve been trying. Yup, another one from Bobbi Brown. Somehow, my skin likes Bobbi Brown moisturizers! This one is called Extra Bright Advanced Moisture Cream.
I caved. I’ve been reading too much about Omorovicza and I’ve been telling myself for over a year that I have to try this brand, and I finally have. I got this and the Thermal Cleansing Balm from Cult Beauty and I now beat myself for not trying this sooner! Don’t want to read the whole review? Let me tell you now. Get this. It’s great!
I haven’t tried anything from REN before. REN is a brand that touts to use only clean ingredients, so the products don’t have parabens, sulfates, mineral oils, petrolatum, synthetic fragrances, colours, glycols or silicones (among other things). I got the products at Cult Beauty because there was a drool worth goody bag I wanted, and of course, I wanted to try something from REN. I bought the Radiance Perfection Serum 30ml and another serum which I’ll reveal in due time (haven’t tested it yet). So I thought I’d shed light on this radiance boosting serum.
Who hasn’t heard this before? “Please remember to apply your sunscreen every day, even when it’s cloudy outside.”
When I was in my teens, my mom would nag me, every single day. I was mostly frustrated because I didn’t understand why. I’d go “UGH!! yadah yadah yadah, enough already!” When I was studying in Australia, I didn’t apply sunscreen at all. When it was cold, I’d stand in the sun when I’d usually avoid them like a plague. When I came home, my mom noticed I have developed freckles. Truthfully, I thought it was cute. There were only a few. Little did I know, the freckles got worse. Only then, did I know my mom meant well, but it was too late. The freckles stuck with me until now. So whenever someone asked me if I was interested to write about sunscreens, I’d say yes. Ironically, Yadah shoved its sunscreen in my face. LOL!
