You must have read about Antipodes on this blog. I first discovered it about 2 years ago, and I have been slowly trying their products. I was looking for a more affordable eye cream and this one fits the bill. Then, there was some major promotion on cleansers and toners (60% off with purchase) so I grabbed that too. Oh, and I heard avocado is a good ingredient in creams, and I got a night cream. I know, it was one after another. I bought all these when I first knew I was pregnant. I wanted to switch to something more organic for no specific reason. I don’t believe skincare must be different during pregnancy if there are no changes to your skin. My skin did become more sensitive, hence, the switch. I noticed my skin has become drier lately, so I know I’ll be changing my routine again. So, I believe skincare should only be changed according to your skin condition, not because whether or not you’re pregnant. So here, I’ll be doing brief reviews on each product which I’ve been using for the past 4 to 5 months.
Today I will bring you a review of 2 of the products in the Pai Cleanse and Tone Starter Kit. They are Pai Rice Plant & Rosemary Bioaffinity Tonic and Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleansing Cream. I bought the kit directly from the website <click here for the link, I am not affiliated> and there was an offer that time where I’d get a complimentary full sized eye cream! Bonus, I thought. I upsized my cleanser to 200ml so for the kit, and for USD$156, I get:
- Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleansing Cream 200ml
- Pai Rice Plant & Rosemary Bioaffinity Tonic 50ml
- Exfoliating Muslin Face Cloth
- Geranium & Thistle Combination Skin Cream (50ml)
- Echium & Argan Soothing Eye Cream (15ml)
I was one of the lucky ones who were sent this NEW Micro Essence Skin Activating Treatment Lotion to try before its launch today. I have used this product for exactly one month, and here, I’ll share with you what this new exciting product is, and what it did to my normal combination skin.
If you’ve been following this blog and reading diligently (thank you!), you’d already know that I am not keen on beauty boxes. I know what I want, and I like to have control of what I’ll be getting in my boxes. I hate that surprises become disappointments and it’s just an overwhelming feeling that I’ve wasted my money on a bunch of crappy samples I never use. Recently, I was approached by Modbox to try out their Intro Kit for bloggers, and I was a skeptic. I told Jess (co-founder of Modbox) as much, that I might not be kind in my review, and she was still keen to know what I think. So, here it is – my honest review of yet another subscription box that seems to be mushrooming here.
When I bought the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, I bought this set of deluxe sample sized cleansers too. I wanted to try this brand, and these travel sized bottles are great just for that purpose. Enough for me to have a good feel of how they perform, and not too big that I’d waste the whole bottle if I didn’t like it. I think it retailed for about RM50 – or thereabouts.
