BB palette 3

My Own Personalized Bobbi Brown Eye Palette

If you didn’t know, my first makeup love was Bobbi Brown. I dabbled with the now discontinued Kanebo T’estimo and then I discovered Bobbi Brown. It all started with a foundation. Then, the cult favourite gel liner (my first was Ink Black) then the pot rouges and then I had to have myself a neutral eye palette. I’m a neutral fiend, so when they came out with the palette system a few years back, I was totally sucked in. Mine is nothing exciting, given I was still a newbie at makeup (before blogging became part of my life) but I’d still like to show you.

Sunday Stash Shopping #2

To tell you the truth, I didn’t wear much makeup the last 2 weeks. I told you I strained my back, and I stayed at home most of the time… so I didn’t manage to wear much makeup. However, when I did, these were the few things I chose from my stash. I wanted to look a little more “alive”, so I picked a brighter lipstick. It’s also been quite hot, so I just used a light dusting of powder, which disappeared shortly after due to perspiration.

The Bright and The Bold Add A Pop Of Colour To Your Life

When I first started out with makeup, my policy was, the sheerer the better. It’s the safe way to go. For eyes, NEUTRALS! For lips, something that match my lip colour, please. For cheeks, sheer pink and sheer corals so that I won’t look like a baboon’s buttocks, thank you very much. I still love my neutrals, but I now love bright pigmented blush. Deep dark burgundy blushes, deep red wine blushes, bright fuchsia blushes that scare people away. Those, I love.

BB balm rinse 1

Let Your Senses Indulge with Bobbi Brown Extra Balm Rinse

This Balm Rinse is part of Bobbi Brown’s Extra Skincare range. Extra is targeted at those with dry skin, so products are usually richer. The Extra Balm Rinse however, also works great on my normal / combination oily skin. Bobbi Brown describes this as a conditioning and emollient cleanser, one that removes all traces of makeup and impurities, leaving skin smooth and supple. Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil

A Change Of Name, But Everything Else Feels The Same: Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil

Like dissolves like. I got this from Larie, who in my opinion, is a science genius. I on the other hand … well, let’s not go there >.< When it comes to removing makeup, oil and dirt from my face, I am more inclined to use cleansing oils and cleansing balms. I have expressed my love for Dermalogica Precleanse before, and I still do, but I decided to change things up a little. I went back to Bobbi Brown, which renamed its Cleansing Oil to Soothing Cleansing Oil. I used the older version of cleansing oil before, and seriously, I can’t detect anything different.
