Many people are intimidated by the colour red. Some love it, some shy away from it. I never wore bright red lips before I started the blog and I admit, the first time felt scary yet liberating. I have since accumulated some reds, from sheer to bold, from warm reds to darker reds. There are still a few reds I want because let me tell you one thing. Once you’ve started wearing red, you can’t stop.
This theme came from a random Twitter conversation. It was a while back, so I can’t remember how it all started, but I’m glad I blurted it out because it just caught on and you’ll see what the men in our lives prefer – when it comes to lip colours anyway. I thought it was going to be difficult, because when I briefly mentioned it to hubs, he said something like yellow or purple. Oh my, wouldn’t that be interesting! When I finally asked him on Sunday morning, the day before this post is scheduled to go live, he said he preferred something pink. Right. That narrows it down to 20.
If you have been following this blog for a while, you’ll probably know that I’m a diligent sunscreen user. If you don’t use sunscreen on a daily basis, even if the day is cloudy, then you should. You really should. If premature skin ageing and dark spots are your concerns, the first thing you should do is to protect your skin from these harmful UV rays while treating the particular concern. If you’re using skincare that targets those concerns yet you’re NOT wearing sunscreen, babe, you’re just wasting your money and time. OK. End of nag.
My first CC cream review is from Rachel K and it works really well on my skin. It has more coverage, and to be honest, it could pass for BB cream, only with lighter texture. Now, this CC cream from Clinique is something different. It is newly launched and you might have seen it in counters already. The one I have is for colour correcting. I was sent Fresh Peach, and here is what I think.
I’ve been wanting to try this for the longest time. Clinique launched their Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes a few months ago, and it has finally reached our shores. I had my expectations before trying these out, because I’ve only read good reviews. However, those reviews are mostly by bloggers living overseas, with weather less hot and humid than ours. So, how did it fare here?
