Review: My Favourite Moisturizers Lately. Dior Capture Totale Intensive Night Restorative Creme and Multi-Perfection Emulsion

Such a long post title. Basically, this is a review of both day and night moisturizers I’ve been using from Dior Capture Totale line. I’ve been using them on and off for the past 1 year actually, and haven’t got round to talking about it. It’s not because they’re not good, but it’s because I really wanted to test them out under different skin conditions, and I tell you right now, they’re good :-)

Let’s first talk about the day moisturizer which I use.

Femme Boulevard: Vamp

It’s still end of July, and in some places, it’s still summer, and in others, it’s winter. We decided to do something different, and by that, we’re feeling vampy. The first thing I thought of was to pull out my darker lipsticks. How exciting :-) Then, I was debating whether to keep my eyes minimal, or to go all out dark. I haven’t been playing much with eye shadows for a few months now, and I took this opportunity to actually use some of my eye shadows! Dark eyes it is. I was going to use black only but….. it kinda got out of hand. Heh!

For the base, I wanted something flawless, so I used my newly purchased Lancome Blanc Miracle SPF50 liquid foundation, set with my well loved Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle powder foundation. To avoid looking like a goth, I added some pink using Dior Rosy Glow blush.

Sunday Stash Shopping #26: 4 Dior Rouge Samples

So who here doesn’t know Dior Rouge and Dior Addicts are my favourite formula in lipsticks? I’ve had this sample for months, and I didn’t use it. I honestly didn’t know what I was thinking, but I’m glad I opened it for this post. The shades have been out for a while already, so you probably have seen them. The shades are 999, Grege 1947 (169), Darling (567) and Trafalgar (539). I decided to wear them with cooler metallic eyes so I took out my neglected Urban Decay Naked2 palette. For foundation, I used my MUFE HD foundation which still has about half a bottle left.

Review: Dior Addict Fluid Sticks in Mirage and Pandore

Dior Addict Fluid Sticks are lip hybrids. There have been so many lip hybrids lately, it’s getting a little boring. Truth be told, I received these a few months ago, even before I got pregnant, so it’s definitely a delayed review. I have my reasons for it though. The main one is no secret, with being sick and all, and another is because I don’t know how I feel about them. I’m sure by now, you’ve read a lot about them, that there is no wax in the ingredients, and all sorts of raves. Admittedly, I was very excited when I first got them. I tried them and tried them again but still couldn’t form a solid opinion.

Sunday Stash Shopping #25: Liquid Liner

The return of the liquid liner. If you read my previous posts, you’d know I’ve been skipping liners, but hey! Not only have I been using eye liners, I’ve been using liquid liners! That only means one thing: I’m not gagging and vomiting anymore. Yay! Well, I’d still feel nauseated sometimes, but not as bad as having to run to the washroom. Now, say it with me: WOOHOO!!!

I’m still keeping everything simple, and it’s a look without any eye colour. Just an eye liner and a mascara. Of course, this look can be done using a pencil liner, but the line won’t be as crisp. Gel liners are a great substitute if you find it easier working with a brush, but I’ve wanted to use up my one and only liquid liner – the Diorshow Art Pen which I reviewed before. Sad thing it isn’t waterproof because it’d be perfect otherwise. I think I’ll be searching for a more affordable liquid liner after this, so any recs appreciated.
