For this week’s stash shopping, I decided to do purple. Also, I made it a point to use more products by layering. I’ve been keeping my makeup simple, and this is the makeup I wore to our date night to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary.
Many people are intimidated by the colour red. Some love it, some shy away from it. I never wore bright red lips before I started the blog and I admit, the first time felt scary yet liberating. I have since accumulated some reds, from sheer to bold, from warm reds to darker reds. There are still a few reds I want because let me tell you one thing. Once you’ve started wearing red, you can’t stop.
Do you remember my most recent Lipstick Bandits post? I was going on about how I didn’t know what coral really is, so I picked a soft and safe shade from Chanel. Then, I read the others’ posts and finally got an idea. I had it in my stash all along! It’s by Revlon – the Super Lustrous Lipstick in Kiss Me Coral. DUH! It’s all in the name, isn’t it?
I was sent the Colorstay Makeup and concealer, and their new Photoready BB cream about a month ago. I saw them, and they are on the opposite side of the colour spectrum. They sent me the lightest shade available for the foundation which is 180 Sand Beige and the concealer is Medium, which looks orange on me, and the darkest shade of the BB cream available here which is Medium. The foundation is still a tad dark after it oxidizes so can you imagine what the concealer does? The worst is the BB cream. Do you know what an Oompa Loompa looks like? Now, imagine a BURNT Oompa Loompa. HAHAHAHAH!
My first lipstick was from Revlon. I’m sure of it! I was probably 16 or 17 and back then, it was this long wearing matte lipstick named Bronze, or something. It was the late 90′s and browns were IT for lips. Anyway, I’ve always thought Revlon made great lipsticks. I recently had a penchant for Revlon’s line of lipsticks called the Super Lustrous Lipsticks. Today, I want to show you the first 2 I bought. I then went back to got some more because I really liked them!
