FOTD Inspired By Lisa Eldridge #MyLisaLook: Golds and Red

look1

This look is inspired by @Lisa_Eldridge’s latest video – Old Hollywood Inspired Party Look With Vintage Golds. While I was watching it, I was already thinking how I’d do it on my own features. I just featured the Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood eye palette, and it’s perfect for this look! To watch Lisa’s tutorial on YouTube, click here.

Sunday Stash Shopping #17

For this week’s stash shopping, I decided to do purple. Also, I made it a point to use more products by layering. I’ve been keeping my makeup simple, and this is the makeup I wore to our date night to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary.┬áThese are the products I used – I think you’ve seen them around and I’ve reviewed all of them at some point.

Let’s Paint The Town Red: My Red Lipsticks

Many people are intimidated by the colour red. Some love it, some shy away from it. I never wore bright red lips before I started the blog and I admit, the first time felt scary yet liberating. I have since accumulated some reds, from sheer to bold, from warm reds to darker reds. There are still a few reds I want because let me tell you one thing. Once you’ve started wearing red, you can’t stop.

Now You See It, Now You Don’t – Empties Again!

Here’s another batch of products all used up to the last drop. I reviewed some of them so I’ll put up a link to the reviews, and for those I haven’t talked about before, I’ll briefly talk about what I feel about them. If you want a more in depth review, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do :-)

Sunday Stash Shopping #5

This week, I decided to go khaki. I pulled out my mini Dior Royal Khaki quint and my Chanel Vert Khaki, along with Urban Decay pencil liner in Stash. Base products are pretty much the same. The same Diorsnow face powder which I have scheduled a review for (watch out for it next week), the Shiseido base that just. won’t. die. (ugh!), the Clarins Vitamin Pink blush that only has a quarter left, my ever faithful brow companion from Shu Uemura (review also out next week), and a sample mascara from Estee Lauder. I also added a highlighter in my routine and rekindled my love for Dior Amber Diamond. For lips, I decided something sheer so I stuck with Clinique Chubby Stick in Oversized Orange.
